New Moon last evening at 7:46 PM. First day of  the Lunar month; the beginning of a New Moon Cycle.

GAP is still sloppy south of Frostburg and littered with rock falls

Stalks of last year’s witches broom

Stalk of last year’s witches broom

Witches Broom is a biannual. The second year plant produces the stalk. Been keeping a close eye out for the rosettes of first-year witches broom, which should be appearing anytime now.
